sustainable and crit- ical food and bev- erage manufacturing sector in the region,” Ms Giuliano said.
The facility will also be the company’s new headquarters for Aus- tralia and New Zea- land.
The Brisbane fa- cility is comple- mented by the Kerry Australia and New Zealand Commercial Connect Centre in Sydney.
The new Kerry Aus- tralia and New Zea- land development and application centre will comprise pilot plants, laboratories and tasting facilities.
The centre is a spe- cialist research and development applica- tions hub.
It will have access to Kerry’s global research and devel- opment network, in- sights, market knowl- edge, and culinary and applications ex- pertise.
Australia is an at- tractive destination for food manufac- turing.
The Brisbane-based centre will enable Kerry to reduce time to market for new product development.
It accounts for more than 18 percent or $50 billion of Australia’s total manufacturing turnover each year.
It will also increase its capacity to drive food innovation in the region.
The company has in- dicated it will partner with local universities to place graduates in the centre through its graduate program.
Kerry Australia and New Zealand general manager Christine Giuliano said, “The facility will bring the benefits of our global technologies to local food and beverage producers – sup- porting regional in- dustry development.”
Kerry’s investment was supported by the Queensland Gov- ernment’s advance Queensland industry attraction fund.
“Considering Queensland’s align- ment with Kerry’s growth strategies, we are looking forward to supporting a strong,

The food and bev- erage industry is Aus- tralia’s largest manu- facturing sector.
Kerry will also have access to a highly qualified workforce.
