Pork CRC Stakeholders’ Day and student workshop
A good mix of group work and lectures made for a fun and engaging Pork CRC/APL student workshop in Melbourne.
Despite having to concentrate and contribute all day, there were well-deserved moments of humour and laughter during the Pork CRC/APL student workshop.
Chatting after the presentations at the 2017 Pork CRC Stakeholders’ Day were Pork CRC Board member Prof Robert van Barneveld of SunPork, Pork CRC CEO Dr Roger Campbell and PIRSA deputy chief executive Prof Medhi Doroudi.
Enjoying a cuppa at Pork CRC’s 2017 Stakeholders’ Day in Melbourne were Eugeni Roura (University of Queensland), Dennis Mutton (Pork CRC chairman), Roger Campbell (Pork CRC CEO) and Frank Dunshea (University of Melbourne).
Appreciating the 2017 Pork CRC Stakeholders’ Day were Diana Turpin (Murdoch University/ PIWA), Lechelle van Breda (APL), Ryan Cheng (Flinders University), Robyn Terry (SARDI) and Tanya Nowland (SARDI).
At the 2017 Pork CRC/APL student workshop were Pork CRC supported Anne Watt (University of Melbourne), Sarita Guy (University of Sydney), Amy Lealiifano (Rivalea) and Rousset Palou (University of Queensland).
Haylee Clifford of Alltech Lienert Australia is one in the long line of Pork CRC IPPs. The Industry Placement Program has been widely acclaimed by industry and has proven a reward- ing path for students and employers.
Pork CRC business manager Geoff Crook was a picture of concentration.

of Queensland caught up with Pork CRC Subprogram leader Dr Navid Moheimani of Murdoch University at the 2017 Pork CRC Stakeholders’ Day. Dr Tait earlier reported on significant progress made in improving the Australian pork industry’s car- bon footprint.
Pork CRC Board member and New Zealand pork producer Chris Trengrove praised the work of Pork CRC supported researchers.
