The nineteenth biennial conference of the Australasian Pig Science Association (APSA) will be held at the Sofitel Brisbane from November 13-16, 2023.
As a key supporter of research, development, education and training in the pork industry, Australasian Pork Research Institute Limited wishes to encourage individuals and groups associated with APRIL-supported projects to consider submitting their work for presentation at this respected conference.
The Australasian Pig Science Association has partnered with the animal consortium to have one-page papers included as open access in animal science proceedings, ensuring wide coverage of the research will be received.
APRIL chief executive officer and chief scientist Dr John Pluske said, “The APSA conference is well regarded as an excellent forum for the exchange of information and ideas and provides an excellent opportunity – especially for early-career scientists and students – to present their work in front of colleagues and peers, as well as to network with the broader industry.”
“As in previous years, APRIL is delighted to be a co-platinum sponsor of this important conference and looks forward to participating in the meeting.”
All one-page papers involving APRIL-supported projects must be approved prior to submission to APSA by completing a publication and presentation approval request form – which can be found at apri.com.au/research/project-reporting – and sending it and the onepage paper to Dr John Pluske at j.pluske@ april.org.au
All intended submissions must be sent to Dr John Pluske by May 5 at the latest, to allow sufficient time for processing and approval.
Guidelines for preparation of one-page papers can be found at apsa.asn.au/conference/abstract-submission
In association with the nineteenth biennial conference of APSA, APRIL is pleased to announce that it will hold its Annual General Meeting and stakeholders’ forum also at the Sofitel Brisbane, commencing at 1pm on November 13, 2023.
While further details will be forthcoming during the year, please note this in your calendar.
